| Arts Monongahela grew out of the collective effort of artists, arts administrators, business persons, public officials and interested individuals in the community working together to create a better Morgantown area in the state of West Virginia. |
| Cheat Lake |
| The 46 acre park and trail are now officially open on the shores of Cheat Lake. A 4.5 mile trail runs from the Lake Lynn Dam to the Cheat Haven nature viewing area. A park, complete with a children's play area, picnic sites, day-use boat docking, facilities, fishing access and car-top boat launching is situated between Rubles Run and Morgan's Run. |
| Mon River Trails Conservancy |
| Currently, 48 miles of the Mon River / Caperton / Deckers Creek Rail-Trails are open for non-motorized use, primarily walking, cycling, jogging, and cross-country skiing with a smooth, durable surface for wheel-chair use and all types of bicycles. In Morgantown and Star City, eight miles of trail are paved, allowing for in-line skating. The rail-trail connects three counties, Marion, Monongalia, and Preston Counties in North Central West Virginia. |
| Monongalia Arts Center |
| Monongalia Arts Center (MAC) is a non-profit arts and culture center serving Morgantown and Monongalia County. The MAC offers classes in both the visual and performing arts, as well as housing the Benedum Gallery , Davis Gallery and Tanner Theatre. |
